// What RQ is[ 01 ]

What your profile is, and what it isn’t.

RQ describes how you tend to relate right now, from your own answers. One low score doesn’t define you, and the whole profile can change.

  • Not a personality test

    It scores skills you can practise, so it’s expected to move.

  • Not a diagnosis

    RQ is our own framework and isn’t a validated clinical instrument.

  • Not an attachment label

    It describes what you do in situations, not a type you are.

  • Not a verdict on your relationship

    It won’t tell you whether a relationship is good, bad, or worth keeping.

// The eight dimensions[ 02 ]

The eight dimensions, and what moves them

All eight get a score. The lowest becomes your focus, and that’s where the plan starts.

Conflict & repair

Handling disagreement, and reconnecting afterwards.

What it can look like

“The argument ends, and nobody brings the problem up again.”

Practice this

Repair within 24 hours

  1. 1Name one thing you could have done better.
  2. 2Ask what the other person experienced.
  3. 3Agree on one thing to try differently.

Conflict & repair

What RelationQ tracks

  • Conversations revisited
  • Repairs attempted
  • Agreements followed up

3 of 8. Counted, never graded

// Your focus[ 03 ]

Your focus is where the plan starts.

The lowest-scoring dimension usually limits the others, because the moments it affects are the ones people remember. So your plan spends its first weeks there, then moves on. Retake the profile later and see what moved.

In the example profile, the focus isConflict & repair (62)

What a number means

32-95

Developing 32-52
Needs work. Hard in a lot of situations right now.
Mixed 53-70
You have it, until there is pressure.
Solid 71-95
Reliable in most situations.
// Personal plan[ 04 ]

Your plan adapts to your situation.

The same score can mean something different depending on where you are and what you want to change. That’s why the assessment asks about both before it scores anything.

  1. Where you are

    Together, dating, unsure, separated, starting again.

  2. What you want to change

    Closeness, conflict, trust, boundaries, clarity, letting go.

  3. Your RQ pattern

    Eight dimensions, and the one holding the rest back.

  4. Your personal plan

    What to practise first, in your situation, a few minutes a day.

One low score, seven situations

Where the plan puts its attention

Keep small repairs quick, so good stretches stay good and friction doesn’t collect.

A first practice: After your next small disagreement, say one thing that helped.

// Questions[ 05 ]

Questions about the RQ profile.

All questions

RQ is our own framework. It is not a validated clinical instrument and not an IQ equivalent. The skills it measures come from published relationship research, and it scores them the same way each time so you can see change.

The assessment, your RQ score and band, the skill with the most room to grow and the one you’re strongest at, both with their scores, and what the pattern means. Your other six dimension scores, the daily plan and the app are Premium. No account and no payment to take the questions.

Yes. Your answers are saved to your session so you can close the tab and come back. We never sell them or use them for advertising, and you can ask us to delete all of it.

No. It works whether you’re single, dating, in a relationship, separated or divorced. The assessment asks where you are first, then shapes the questions and your plan around it.

Why it is safe to be honest

Your answers are yours. We never sell them or use them for advertising, and you can have all of it deleted. There are no streaks to protect, and RelationQ does not decide whether you stay, leave or try again.

Abuse isn’t treated as a communication problem. If your answers suggest you may not be safe, we stop and point you toward people trained to help.
